Banri: So Itaru-san put me and you to play Ash and Shorter, respectively, huh? … Gotta hand it to him for the choice.
The boss of New York's street gangs, and the boss of Chinatown's gang group.
Tenma: You as the Autumn Troupe's leader, and me as the Summer Troupe's leader. That does make sense.
Banri: Shorter has a bit of a mood-maker chara to him; I can see you capturing that no prob'.
Tenma: I can always do some role studies to help me with that.
Banri: I hear ya, Mister Big Shot.
Tenma: And I have to make sure to show his presence as a gang boss, too.
Plus, I know that these two characters have a relationship that has its own importance, in a way different to Ash and Eiji's.
Banri: They sure do. But we can definitely pull that off. Right?
Tenma: … Yeah. I'll be relying on you, Banri-san.

I noticed that you've been doing your solo practices pretty late into the hour, ever since this stageplay was decided.
Max takes on a sort of guardian role for Ash, doesn't he? They even acted as father-son once, too.
Banri: And that's why you prepped me some dinner? S'not that different from the usual, y'know.
Omi: Well, roles aside, I simply wanted to help you out in my own way. So this is what I came up with.
I made your favorite, for starters, so I hope you're okay with that.

The story this time's intense on me. Not just for the action scenes… But tryin' to understand Ash, too.
But, knowin' you'd call out to me, and the other members I'm performing with bein' there lookin' out for me…
And, most of all, to have that person right by my side to support me and help me to get through all this…
Just like how Ash has Eiji close to him, knowing that there's someone like that existing in my life, too, is really reassuring.
So, really, there ain't no need to get so worried.

Kumon: Maaaaaan… Sing is just so cool!!

Tsumugi: Oh, Kumon-kun. Are you rewatching the anime?
Kumon: Yeah! When I first watched it, I really thought Sing's way of fighting with his weapon was so impressively cool.
But now, I also think it's awesome how someone as young as him can lead a gang like that— not to mention how much he cherishes his own folks and family!
Tsumugi: You and Juza-kun would certainly know what it means to cherish your family, I'm sure. Although, the two of you are techinically enemies this time around.
Kumon: Yeaaah... That's why I know my character shouldn't be saying stuff like this, but—

Kumon: Nii-chan's Arthur is just so so soooo cool!!
His action stuff's obvious enough, but he really got Arthur's look and feel down to a T!
Like, it’s almost an honor that I get to witness Arthur's performance up close as an actor on stage myself!
But most of all, getting to perform with Nii-chan again for a work like this— I'm just super stoked about it!!!

I know my own character shouldn’t be thinking of the same things, but I do agree with what you’re saying wholeheartedly.

Tsumugi: It's such an honor to be able to perform as Okumura Eiji from "BANANA FISH".
I know it's a piece of work that has been loved by so many people over the years. Truth be told, I do feel the pressure of being given his character.
But in between all the rehearsals and the usual routines where he unexpectedly comes to mind, having him in my thoughts leave me quite happy.
Of course, as I apply what I learned to my role, it turns out to not be all sunshine and rainbows either; Eiji has his struggles, too.
… But I feel like I could connect with my role even more in those struggles, so in a way, I'm pretty glad about it.
Huh? …You think I become a loose screw when I start talking about theatre?
