Hirato: When I bumped into Banri-san at that cafe, I realized something…
I was wondering to myself then if you were perhaps a model, or perhaps popular with women, or that you were out on a date with a girlfriend… It just came to my mind.
Kazunari: Settsuar at a cafe…
Azuma: Ah, the usual cafe-hopping hobby, perhaps?
Tsumugi: And the person he promised to meet… Might be me, I think?
Hirato: After that, I thought it’d be a good idea to recruit students to be the actors for the play…
When I went to visit Amabi, I came upon Banri-san there yet again. It was only then that I realized that he was Settsu Banri of MANKAI Company.
With what little I knew of Banri-san, I got the strong impression that he was more of a star… rather than someone who was very passionate about theatre, that is.
I had imagined that you’d be a person with such skill that you can do anything without any worry.

Perhaps there’s always been these assumptions, preconceptions, and biases that have been directed to you even until now.
I thought of it… Because that is the same as the written characters being portrayed within this performance.

Hirato: I did have a specific casting in mind myself, but I wasn’t sure who would be right for which role…
So I thought that instead of an outsider deciding on that, I figured it’d be better for troupe members who understood each other to know the answers better than I could.
That is why I left that up to you.
Banri: I see. Assumptions and preconceptions, huh….
Well, I guess I can see what you mean by all that.
Hirato: I’m really sorry.
Banri: It’s fine. It’s a good thing I did ask. I knew there’d be a reason why you chose me for a role… But I didn’t expect it to be that.

Sakuya: What’s decided?
Banri: Tsumugi-san, let’s switch roles after all.
Izumi: Eh!??
Hirato: EHH!?
Banri: I know that if we switch, I have to abandon all of the character that I’ve been building up for the role, and that I have to completely start from scratch.

I’d like to say I’m lucky to have gone through two roles, actually. Plus breaking down characters and starting all over from zero is just my specialty.

Misumi: Director-san, we’ve finished changing~
Kazunari: Look at me, I’m an absolute beauty☆

Azuma: Fufu, I had heard about how thorough they were to get our dresses to suit us.

Banri: Expected this, expected that, yadda yadda. My plans were turned almost upside down, so ‘course it’d be shocking for me.
Tsumugi: You think so?
Banri: Back during Inner Palace, Itaru-san mentioned that he had his sister’s face when he wore women’s clothing. I thought that I’d end up the same if it happened to me too.
But when I looked at the results, it was more like seeing my sister’s “male version” instead. To think this would be the first time in my life I feel like cringing at my own face.
Izumi: Now now, even if it’s not the most suiting, you can think of this as… spicing things up for today!
Banri: I feel like eating my own words right now.
