Kazunari: I’m back~
Hm… I guess Mukkun hasn’t come back home yet?

Kazunari: Coming~
Izumi: Ah, Kazunari-kun. Glad to see you’re home.
Kazunari: You caught me juuust as I came back. Need me for something?
Izumi: I got the questionnaire from “Spotlight”, so I figured I’d hand it over to you.
Kazunari: It’s finally my time, is it~? Thanks, I’ll be sure to read it through.
Izumi: Can’t wait then.
Kazunari: Wonder what kind of questions I got.
Hrmm hrmm hrmm….

Izumi: Alright, let’s try doing some two-person etudes next.
Let’s go with “classmates” as the theme. I’ll go ahead and pick out the pairs for everyone.
Kazunari-kun and Kumon-kun, Tenma-kun and Muku-kun, and finally Yuki-kun and Misumi-kun. Let’s go with these pairs.
Summer Troupe: Okay–!
Izumi: Alright then, let’s start!

Kumon: So, tomorrow’s finally gonna be the last match, huh.
Izumi: (I assume that it’s the day before they retire from their club activities…)
Kumon: I’m glad we got to do it together till the end.
Kazunari: Don’t go saying such things while it’s not over yet. You’ll get a penalty if you oversleep, y’know.
Kumon: I told you I won’t oversleep.
Kazunari: You’d oversleep even at the most important of times, dude. Don’t you remember from the match before—
Kumon: That’s just cause I forgot to set an alarm… Tomorrow will be fine, swear!
Kazunari: Our 3 years here have led up all to this match… We have to win it.
Kumon: …Yeah!

Kazunari: Hey hey, Kumopi. You sure you didn’t feel that anything was out of place with the exchange we did just now?
Kumon: I don’t particularly feel there was anything like that at all…
Ah! But one thing I did notice is that Kazu-san had the vibes of an upperclassman older than me, rather than a classmate of mine!
Kazunari: Ahh, I see! When you put it like that, I guess our dynamic as classmates was too weak, huh?
Kumon: How did I do though?
Kazunari: Hmm, I think you did pretty alright just as you were…
Maybe if you put a bit more feeling into that last line, it would’ve made you feel pretty much like a protag!
It’s that kind of style that would fit you pretty well!
Kumon: I see! Then can we try that bit one more time?
Kazunari: Sure thing! Let’s give it a go!

Izumi: Great work there, Kazunari-kun.
Kazunari: Right back at ya, Director-chan!
Izumi: Is that the questionnaire handout you got there?
Kazunari: That’s right!
There’s all sorts of questions here so it’s actually pretty interesting to go through~
Izumi: Is there any question that strikes your fancy in particular?
Kazunari: Hmm… The first thing that caught my eye was the one asking me about how I dealt with overcoming an obstacle through acting.
Somehow I was able to decide on an answer already right as I saw it.
Then as I went through the usual practices with everyone, I was even more sure of the answer I had to the question.

Izumi: Does the questionnaire look alright for you?
Kazunari: Well….. You’re gonna have to find out through the interview!
Izumi: Ehh, when you say it like that I’d be even more curious.
Kazunari: It’d be no fun if I tell you ahead of time, won’t it?
Izumi: …I guess you do have a point.
Kazunari: This interview’s a pretty good chance for me to look back at my own life, don’t you think?
As I read through the questionnaire, I even thought a lot about all the ordinary things because they’re so full of meaning to me.
Izumi: That so. Even hearing that alone, getting this interview must be pretty worth it for you, huh?
Kazunari: Sure is!

Izumi: That so? I’m glad you were able to find your answer then.
Kazunari: Direction-chan, could it be you’ve been worried about me?
Izumi: Just a bit. Though since you didn’t seem too troubled by it, I didn’t get too worried for you either.
Kazunari: I’m sure the old me would be all sorts of troubled, but I’m certain about myself now!
Reading through the questionnaire, I feel like I’ve definitely grown in my own ways too.
Izumi: That’s for certain. I think the same.

Kasumi: Pleasure to work with you today, Kazunari-kun!
Kazunari: Let’s rock this, Kasumiinu!
Kasumi: Wow… Getting a nickname from you makes me feel like we’re getting along already! I’m so happy!
Kazunari: Of course, you’re already part of the fam!
Kasumi: Fufu, thank you then. In any case, shall we get along with the interview?

Kasumi: Kazunari-san, in the previous interview^[1], you mentioned that if there was anyone who had any interest in acting, you told them to just take the first step and try it out.
This had resulted in us receiving letters from people who had felt that they’d been on the fence themselves, but then finally decided to take a leap of faith.
It seems like the article showed just how much you’ve been having fun with acting, and that helped these people find their own courage as well.
Kazunari: FOR REAL!?
But yeah, I was merely saying that from the heart, so hearing that my words were able to influence people like that makes me really happy.
It got me thinking… Those guys who’ve started to give it their all, I wonder what kind of people they’ll turn out, and I wonder if we could act together on stage someday…
Ah, am I getting ahead of myself here?

Kasumi: I wouldn’t think so. Perhaps that wish will come true someday, too.
This is something we could feel even in the previous interview, but your fans have this impression of you as a cheerful and energetic person—
But do you have times where there were obstacles in acting that brought you down as well?
Kazunari: Hmm. Rather than saying that obstacles brought me down, I’d be wondering how I could come up with a solution, I guess?
Kasumi: So you’d calmly try to think of the next course of action, then?
Kazunari: If I don’t do so, I might end up seeing all of the Summer Troupe members go ahead and surpass me because I’m too depressed to do anything!

Kasumi: Fufu, I see.
So just now, you said that you try to come up with a solution instead. Would it be possible to for you to tell us about that solution is?
Kazunari: Of course!
…Though, I say it like that, my case is much simpler actually: don’t go thinking over things on your own and seek others for help!
But y’know, even just asking for help from people around me is something that my old self had a lot of difficulty doing.
At first, I was too worried about how others would feel that I tried too hard to not set off any sparks.
But as I perform more and more performances with Summer Troupe, I have this trusting relationship with everyone. And now I’m able to easily share my troubles with them.
It was then I realized that in order to get those feelings to come naturally, it’s important to build up a relationship of trust with others.

Kasumi: I’ll take that as a compliment then.
The way you take careful consideration of another person must be the reason you’re able to understand and form a trusting relationship with them, isn’t it?
Kazunari: You’re hitting the nail on the head if you’re putting it like that…
But I do think that involving yourself with others is surely an important thing in itself!
