"Becoming Room 104’s Underling!? - PART 1”
Tsumugi: You think you can clean up your act after all that?
Izumi: (Was that Tsumugi-san’s voice…? He sounded really aggressive, I wonder what’s happening…)
(I’m pretty sure I heard him from the courtyard.)
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —

Tasuku: “Of course, I’m aware I won’t be let off the hook that easily.”
Izumi: (Tsumugi-san is wearing his old school uniform!? …If Tasuku-san is here too, they must be doing an etude then.)
Tsumugi: Ah, Director.
Izumi: I heard Tsumugi-san’s voice and thought I’d check out what’s going on. Is this for a role study?
Tsumugi: That’s right. We were acting out a situation for the gymnasium assignment[1] you mentioned before.
Tasuku: He wanted to do some practice as a guide for that doll exhibition, so he asked me to help him out with it.
Heard that the outfit for the event was going to be a school uniform. To get into the role, I had to grab Tsumugi’s uniform from his family home.
Tsumugi: Even though it’s for the role study, I still can’t help but feel embarrassed about wearing this.
Izumi: If you can look this natural in a gakuran[2], then I think it’ll be quite easy to picture the uniform outfits we’ll be renting from them!
But besides all that, why did you decide on such an aggressive dialogue?
Tasuku: Why… Well it’s for the delinquent role, isn’t it?
Izumi: Delinquent role!?
Tsumugi-san, your role is supposed to be a student council president, right?
Tsumugi: Well…
When I read more into the details of the assignment sheet that Homare-san gave to us, it more specifically says: “a student council president with a shady life.”
Izumi: I… I see…

▶︎ CHOICE 1: Quite the conflicting roles, huh…
Izumi: Those are quite the conflicting roles, huh…
Tsumugi: In terms of the imagery, we could likely think of this setting as almost similar to a dual personality.
Tasuku: Sounds pretty tough to be living a dual personality like that every single day…
Tsumugi: But you know, it’d probably be better to act out the role in a “good boy-bad boy” sort of way.
Izumi: When you say you’re going to act out as a “bad boy”, I can only imagine Tsumugi-san just being a bit of a naughty kid.
Tsumugi: A naughty kid?
Hmm… Considering the context of a gymnasium setting, I was hoping to play out the bad boy role without going too out of that context.
Izumi: (Considering the setting context, huh… This is turning out to be a rather difficult role…)
▶︎ CHOICE 2: There’s a uniqueness to the setting context.
Izumi: It’s quite a unique setting, isn’t it?
Tsumugi: I was imagining a gymnasium school with a bit of darkness in it.
Izumi: Should I go ask our client, the doll artist, for more specifics about the assignment?
Tsumugi: If I’m unable to come up with anything more, then we could ask. But for now, I’d like to consider the setting in my own way first.
A student council president who is an honor student with good conduct and a respectable public image, but turns out to have a life of delinquency in the shadows…
Izumi: (An interpretation that Tsumugi-san came up with himself… I have to trust his gut.)
Tsumugi: I may seem troubled by it now, but actually, I did play a role as a motorcycle gang leader before.
Izumi: No joke!?
Tsumugi: Yep. I asked Tasuku to help me out in hopes I could remember how I played that role back then.
Tasuku: You say that, but it was all improv just now, wasn’t it?
Tsumugi: I figured. If only there was any footage from that time, I probably could’ve used it as a reference…
Izumi: If there’s no video to reference from, then the next best thing would be hearing from others’ experiences…
Tsumugi: The guys from Autumn Troupe have done roles that are close to that, so maybe I could ask them for advice—
Banri: WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM!?
Juza: HUH? GOT SOMETHING TO SAY TO ME?!
Tsumugi: Wah!
Izumi: That came from Room 104…
Tasuku: (sigh) Those two are at it again, huh.
Izumi: Ahaha…
Tsumugi: That’s right! I could probably use those two as reference.
Tasuku: What kind of “reference” are you gonna get out of that?
Tsumugi: Let me change clothes and ask them after.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Banri: Stay out of this, bastard!
Juza: Shut up you fox-face.
Tsumugi: …Here goes.
[knocks]
Izumi: Eh…!? You’re doing this now!?
Tasuku: He’s really serious about this…..
Izumi: (His greed for acting really can’t be stopped…)
[door opens]

Juza: What?
Banri: Who is it now.
Tsumugi: Please, you two! Please teach me… what it means to be a delinquent!
Banri & Juza: …..Huh?

"Becoming Room 104’s Underling!? - PART 2”

Tsumugi: …So in summary, I wanted to ask you two to teach me through your experiences with fighting.
Juza: Fighting experience….…
Banri: I mean, only fist fights are coming to mind more than anything else…
Tasuku: Hey, why am I included in this conversation?
Tsumugi: You said you wanted to help me out in my role study, so you should be listening in too, Tasuku.
Izumi: U-Uhm… Is there anything you could share for Tsumugi-san to use as a reference?
Tsumugi: For one, I want to hear how the two of you would pick your fights. Like how did each one start off?
Banri: Ha?
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Tsumugi:Glare at them and then throw a punch… Okay, got it…
Banri: …..
Juza: ……..

Tasuku: You’re really going to use that?
Izumi: Y-You never know! It’s handy to have something than nothing…!
Tsumugi: I once heard from Tenma that, because he’s a celebrity, he would end up getting involved with some rough people too.[3]
He mentioned that Juza-kun had saved him from them. How did you manage that?
Juza: How… I would just glare at them… I guess.
Tsumugi: Could you give me a sample?
Juza: Uh……
Tsumugi: I’d like to see for role reference.
Juza: ……’Kay.

Juza: ————
Something like that.
Tsumugi: I see, thank you!
I think I got a good grasp of the image I want now thanks to both of you. Let’s go, Tasuku.
Tasuku: Y–Yeah………
Izumi: Thanks, you two!!
[DOOR]
Banri: The hell were we doing again….
Juza: ……
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —

Tsumugi: ——!!
…Like that, right?
Tasuku: I mean, I guess it’s close to what those two are like but… Is this really part of the role study?
Tsumugi: I guess? Itaru-kun’s role setting is pretty similar actually, so maybe I’ll have him review it.
Tasuku: Chigasaki’s in it too…?
Hey, Director. Just to make sure again, but the theme is supposed to be a gymnasium, right?
Izumi: That’s what it’s supposed to be….
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
[knocks]
Tsumugi: Itaru-kun, can I come in?
Itaru: Door’s open.
[door opens]
Itaru: What’s up?
Tsumugi: It’s about the doll exhibition assignment we have. I was doing some role studying, so I wanted to have you see what I came up with.
Itaru: Your role is this student council president with a shady life, yeah?
Tsumugi: Yep.
Itaru: My role is also a delinquent, so I’m pretty stuck myself.
Tsumugi: Your role is much more of a delinquent than mine is, right?
Itaru: You already done with your role study?
Tsumugi: Mh-hmm. Banri-kun and Juza-kun were having a quarrel again today, so I went to talk to them about it while they were at it.
Itaru: Excuse me?
Tsumugi: Okay, here it goes.
…(glares)
Itaru: …….
Tsumugi: What do you think?
Itaru: Uhm, that’s not exactly close to being "shady", is it?
Tsumugi: Ehh?!
Itaru: If it were me, I would assume that the “shady” part is similar to the role I did back in back in the “I Come With the Night” play….
Tsumugi: So that’s what it is!
I’m going to go confirm my role setting and go through it again with Homare-san!
[door closes]
Itaru: ……Guess I have Tsumugi to thank for the peace and quiet next door, huh.

[1] Gymnasium refers to a kind of secondary school in Europe. The assignment delivery can be found in Itaru’s SSR “Delinquent Senior Behind the School Building” of the same gacha set.
[2] gakuran = Taisho-period style of school uniform for men.
[3] Tenma and Juza’s initial SSR Cross Backstage: The Strongest Bodyguard.
